Attorney Ellie Johnson Hammonds handles criminal, juvenile, and family law for Goodwin & Greene, P.C. in Canton. She also assists in probate and with adoptions. Throughout law school, Ellie worked as a paralegal with a criminal and family law firm. Being able to work in the legal field while attending law school allowed Ellie to become familiar with the legal community in Cherokee County.
Before passing the bar exam and being sworn in, Ellie was able to practice law under the Georgia 2L Practice Act.
Ellie graduated from the Thomas Goode Jones School of Law in 2024. She received her Bachelor of Arts at the University of West Georgia where she graduated in 2021 with a History Major and a Philosophy Minor. At her time at the University of West Georgia, Ellie was on the track and field team and interned at the Carroll County District Attorney’s Office.
Ellie grew up in Cherokee County and graduated from Cherokee High School in 2018. Ellie and her husband, Nick, love to spend their time watching baseball, basketball, and spending time with family.
